About the Role

As a Project Coordinator for The Gould Group, your focus will be to navigate the landscape of energy efficiency projects. From the moment a purchase order lands on your desk to the completion of the project, you will be the guiding force behind its successful execution. Collaborating with suppliers, maintaining open communication with key stakeholders, and ensuring project milestones are achieved, you'll be essential to keeping the process running smoothly.

In this pivotal role, you will harness a blend of technical knowledge and managerial expertise to realize the fullest potential of our energy efficiency projects.

As a member of the Project Management Team, you will support Project Managers by overseeing administrative tasks, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring resource availability. You will handle much of the administrative work associated with a project. In addition to assisting the Project Team with tasks, you might also be setting up meetings with stakeholders and managing the substantial documentation common to most projects.

In addition to coordinating project schedules, you will work to identify project issues and risks. An important part of your role is to ensure the project management framework is well-organized and runs smoothly. This might include communicating with various departments in the organization to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Example tasks include:

Manage and monitor the progress of energy efficiency projects from inception to completion.

Assist the project manager in developing project management documents such as project schedules and plans.

Ensure timely delivery of required materials and services.

Execute project management administrative tasks like managing purchase orders, project material inventory reports, and material delivery receipts.

Assist with resource scheduling to ensure team members have the resources they need.

Help project managers monitor project progress and team member performance, providing updates to stakeholders.

Foster cross-team collaboration to assist project team members in completing tasks and producing deliverables.

Coordinate and communicate regularly with key stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status and any challenges encountered.

Ensure established roadmaps and timelines for projects are adhered to, proactively addressing any delays or obstacles.

Monitor project progress and create status reports for project managers and stakeholders.

Conduct risk assessments, offering solutions to mitigate potential challenges.

Collaborate closely with other departments to integrate their expertise and elevate our project quality.

Requirements

Successful Candidates Will Have:


  • At least 3+ years of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably in the construction sector. 

  • A strong understanding of the procurement process, including: Purchasing Transportation Management (Truckload and Less-than-Truckload (LTL)) 

  • A proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish. 

  • Solid organizational and multitasking skills. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to effectively work with diverse teams. 

  • Problem-solving skills leading to quick and effective solutions and strategies. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and project management tools. 

  • Netsuite experience is a plus. 

  • A working knowledge of project management software is preferred. 


Required Education or Certification


A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field. 

Valid Driver’s License. 

Certifications such as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are preferred.
